How many times we listen to what friends tell us.
What they do to feel good.
Some people love jogging and running, there are those who go to the gym, some people love disciplines like martial arts.
There are those who swim and those who ride a bike.
Some who do yoga in a studio and some other follow classes online.
One thing I know for sure is that the new revolution is doing yoga at home from the comfort of your living room!
How many times have you felt disoriented?
And how many times don’t you know where to start and above all what to do?
You ended up wisely, reading this article.
Today I will help you clarify some of your doubts.
Simply starting by telling you that doing yoga online is an easy, cheap and practical way to connect to your body and mind.
I will talk to you about the benefits of yoga, to then specifically progress to why you should do yoga online.
Our daily routines can reach inhuman levels.
Work, home, bills to pay, children, shopping and a thousand other things.
Obviously, in this type of situations, it is difficult to stop, breathe, relax, allowing yourselves time for you.
To understand what yoga is, the first step is to invest some time.
Yoga is an experience that cannot be understood intellectually, the first step is to invest some time in understanding but throughout the practice.
People approach this discipline primarily for a physical aspect.
Certainly is a great way to increase strength and flexibility and keep the body well lubricated, significantly reducing deterioration.
When you hold a position you train your body and mind towards awareness, finalizing the relaxation of every tension.
Releasing body tension means making huge storage of energy available that has been blocked for a long time.
Incorporating the discipline into everyday life, by calming the body, you begin to get a glimpse of a state of mental peace.
Yoga is a tool that allows you to recreate a slower and less demanding relationship with yourself, diverting attention from any external factor, linked to stress.
This self-discipline can apply appropriate changes in the behavioural model, bringing prosperity and happiness.
That shapes the attitude with which we interact with ourselves and others.
Yoga is one of the oldest systems of personal development, it is certainly a way to gradually evolve towards self-realization.
To be an integrated development, the following forces, mind, body and spirit must be in balance.
That state that is hidden under all those emotions at the centre of every human being.
Some studies have shown that it can relieve arterial hypertension, help arthritis, arteriosclerosis, chronic fatigue, asthma, varicose veins, can improve heart, lung and respiratory conditions.
In yoga, there is no restriction of caste, creed, religion, cult or country of belonging, it is open to everyone, anyone can practice from the age of 7 / 8 on.
No one needs special equipment or expensive clothes, just a mat, a small amount of space and a strong desire for a healthier and fulfilled life.
But let’s get to the main point of this article: why practice yoga online or live?
Yoga, as you know, can be an expensive discipline.
The monthly subscription is roughly 100/150 euros. For the single class, the costs increase to 20 euros.
How many people can afford an expensive membership?
This discipline can be very expensive, not only in terms of money but also in terms of time.
What if it’s far away?
It’s important to find a studio close by otherwise you have to invest time to get to the studio.
What about extra costs?
To get to the studio, the cost of transportation or fuel can also be significant, especially if it is far away.
What about the teacher?
If we don’t like the way he/she speaks to us, if we don’t like her/his voice/accent, the way she/he teaches, explains and approaches the students?
Live you can change it anytime you want.
What should you wear?
Especially if you didn’t have time to do the dirty laundry.
If you didn’t understand the asana or sequence?
Live is a great way to deepen the concepts, which at first glance are not very clear. You can stop and review as much as you like after the class and you can ask as many questions as you like after your practice.
What about if you have no clue of what yoga is?
If you are a beginner, then the studio is your choice, you might want to try a couple of classes in a studio.
If you have a tiny little experience you can safely embark on an online adventure.
It would be an honour if you start with me.
Do not worry, I wait for you here any time you will be ready.
I’m here to help you.
With online yoga classes, the good news is:
*You can wear the weirdest pyjamas
*You can create the most welcoming environment.
*You won’t have to go to class early to ensure the front row.
*You will be less intimidated because there will be no one around you to judge your work.
*You will no longer be able to judge the practice and skills of others, which is a great way to lose that feeling of comparison.
*You can pause, stop, review topics repeatedly and restart.
Online or Live yoga is a journey within, such an intimate appointment with your ‘I’. Just you and yourself.
Your goal will be to simply listen to your own rhythm.
You will start to pay attention to every signal of your body, experiencing a 360-degree practice.
All you need is some easy and simple “me time”.
Cultivating a new habit, a type of no-stress yoga where you will leave everything out of the door.
Take small actions towards your well-being.
Invest some money on a mat, a strap and two blocks.
” The only thing standing between you and your goal is the bullshit story you keep telling yourself as to why you can’t achieve it”. Cit. Jordan Belford.
